Nice clean hostel in what appears to be a cool location. They have a few amenities on site, beer, bike rentals and free wifi with rooms. It's a small hostel, but plenty of common areas. Close to an entertainment district. Bonus: checkout the gorgeous Eastern Cottonwoods in the neighborhood.

Flawless experience, smoothest and most comfortable hostel experience ever. We had an extremely clean private room with shared bathroom. We were so grateful for the affordable price and will be staying again next time we're in Detroit. As former Detroiters, this hostel is tucked in one of my favorite areas in the city. Convenient that they offer bike rental. Detroit is one of the most relaxed and safe places to bike, so take advantage of it! This place is run with a lot of care.

One of the best hotels I ever stayed in the >20 states I traveled. It’s in a quiet natural neighborhood. The unique painted house that makes it easy to find. They told me a code will be sent in 24 hrs but I don’t check email when travel so I knock the front door and the guy at front desk is only about 2 steps away to open the door for me. The 1st floor has kitchen, living room coffee corner and tool room with 2 spacious bathroom. All guests live on 2nd floor so no noise from upstairs. My private room has 2 bunk beds and shared a suite with 2 other rooms and a shared bath. The other suite has more roommates but a separate kitchen. The room is just enough for the price I paid. Suns getting to the room in the morning and the moon view is spectacular at the outside patio facing east. You can take many Insta level photos here. Help yourself in the big kitchen and feel really like home. We didn’t rent bike and we walked along the Michigan ave all the way to downtown about 1.4miles. I was wondering why there’s no drinking water provided and Derick told me the tap water here is safe to drink. My kid play that soccer at their backyard and found big eggplants growing in the garden nearby. All in all it makes us feel easy and leisure.

Talk about living IN an art piece! Ill do it all day for you. It is like walking through the mind of a creative being. The intentional acts of cohesion evoke emotional states of wonderment. And when you walk in wonder you walk among stars🤪💜🫶

Very unique place, came here for a school trip. The whole group enjoyed it. It’s very central to many attractions and very accessible to mid and downtown. Bathrooms were a little meh but the staff is friendly and the place feels homey

Very nice hostel close to Detroit downtown. Great venture point, clean and with lots of nice people. Hints for travellers: - For Belle Island its well worth it to rent a bike - There is a very nice mexican - Michigan Station is very close and has great study / work spots - There is a Mexican convenience store called Honey Bee which is very authentic and very cool not too far away

i’m actually sleeping in the bunks as i’m writing this and i’m gonna start off by saying the man working the desk is extremely nice. he responds fast and is attentive and was rly helpful on the phone. the hostel itself is so cute. the bed is nice. the amenities are rly nice as well. i’d say you’re most definitely getting your bang for your buck. would 100% recommend. thank you reception guy!

Absolutely great for what it costs! Staff are very friendly and the environment was quite safe. Cute interior, although some spots are a little rough around the edges. There was one minor plumbing issue leading to a closed bathroom while I stayed, but there are 4 available bathrooms, so it was not an issue. Very fine place to sleep at night while exploring town.

This place offers excellent value for the price. The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming, and the overall atmosphere felt safe and comfortable throughout my stay. The interior has a lot of charm with a cozy, inviting design, even though a few areas could use some minor updates. There was a small plumbing issue that temporarily closed one of the bathrooms, but with several others available, it never caused any inconvenience. If you're looking for an affordable place to stay while spending most of your time exploring the city, this is a great choice. Comfortable, budget-friendly, and staffed by genuinely kind people—I would happily stay here again.
